In 1610 Captain Samuel Argall of Virginia was sailing for Lord De La Warr an early governor of Virginia, and was blown off course. He sailed into a strange new bay which he named De La Warr in honor of his governor. That is how the state of Delware got its name. .....Sorry this is the only one that's not finished..... |
