I used to live by the sea in Hoylake,
It was all waves and seagulls and tide,
Then I moved inland to Bedfordshire
And my garden became my pride.

The birds in Leighton Buzzard
Are the greediest I've ever known,
But their antics are are better than a video
No,I'm not really having a moan.

The lawn is full of bird seed,
the borders are full of weeds,
But I've grown strawberries in a plant pot,
But not enough for my needs.

The hedge is growing rampant,
The ivy races across the fence,
But I love this half tamed garden
It's worth every penny of my rent!

At the moment it's trial and error
When it comes to planting and removing 'dead heads'
But when something grows it's exciting
Cause I'm putting down roots in Beds!
